Meet Luiza: A Fashionista with a Heart of Gold
Meet Luiza, our “Designer of the Month” and a true talent in the fashion world! Hailing from Bom Princípio, a charming city in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Luiza recently graduated with a degree in fashion. Her passion for design began in childhood, when she would craft clothes for her Barbies and dream of running her own fashion studio.
Since I was a child, I couldn't imagine myself in any other profession. I loved designing clothes, sewing dresses for my Barbies, and pretending that I was a fashion designer and had a fashion studio.
Today, she channels that early enthusiasm into her role as a fashion designer at Gardana Jeans. Her journey from playful sketches to professional denim designs illustrates her commitment and love for the fashion industry. Her story is one of dedication, creativity, and a deep-rooted commitment to her craft.
I fell in love with the world of denim.
Luiza’s story isn’t just about fashion; it’s also about her values and passions. A devoted vegetarian and animal rights advocate, she’s deeply connected to her principles. Her love for the beach and commitment to sustainability inform her design philosophy.
Discovering Repsketch: A Design Game-Changer
Luiza’s introduction to RepSketch marked a turning point in her design career. Initially searching for tools to streamline her technical fashion drawings, she found RepSketch and was pleasantly surprised by its comprehensive features.

Repsketch is fantastic, it has helped me save a lot of time in the creative process. Compared to the time it took me to draw by hand, I can develop 3x more with the online tool.

Championing Sustainability Through Design
Luiza's final university project was a testament to her creativity and commitment to sustainability. She developed a gala collection using upcycled jeans, showcasing her ability to transform discarded materials into elegant and innovative designs. Repsketch played a crucial role in visualizing these eco-conscious designs.
This work was extremely laborious. A year of dedication, and the fact that I had to put it on a collection board, in which I could convey and represent all its meaning in a sketch drawing, would be very complicated. But RepSketch was essential in this process.
Repsketch's tools were instrumental in bringing Luiza's vision to life. She was able to accurately depict the cutouts, shades, and textures of the upcycled jeans, creating a cohesive and visually appealing collection.

Crafting Couture at Gardana Jeans
At Gardana Jeans, Luiza applies her design skills to create denim pieces that are both stylish and functional. Her role involves designing new collections, creating technical drawings, and overseeing the production process. RepSketch supports her by simplifying complex design elements like pockets, buttons, and stitching.
Working as a stylist for a jeans brand and creating my own pieces, I needed a way to speed up this process instead of drawing them all by hand.

The tool’s resources are integral to her daily work, contributing to a more streamlined and professional design process.
